Frequently Asked Questions

Who can enrol in BFI's ACCA courses?

Admission requires a minimum of A-level standard or completed secondary school. We welcome school leavers, university students, working professionals, accountants, finance professionals, and entrepreneurs looking to build an internationally recognised finance qualification.

Each ACCA Applied Knowledge paper — Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Business and Technology, and Corporate and Business Law — runs for 3 months and is taught offline, face-to-face, at our institute in Bujumbura. We cover one paper per quarter, with small batch sizes of around 10 students for personalised attention.

BFI delivers tuition in partnership with Global FTI (Bangalore), an ACCA Platinum Approved Learning Partner. This gives our students access to a teaching methodology and faculty standard benchmarked internationally, while all certification decisions rest solely with ACCA.

Completing all four Applied Knowledge papers, along with the Foundations in Professionalism module, leads to the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (RQF Level 4) and makes you eligible to progress to the Applied Skills level.

We’re working towards establishing an ACCA Computer-Based Examination (CBE) Centre at our institute so students can sit their Knowledge Level exams locally. Until this is confirmed, students should check current ACCA exam booking options. Register your interest to be notified once the centre is approved.
